Greek Town Grille, a truly authentic Greek restaurant from the Karamountzos family, opened its doors in early August. Critics agree that Downtown Clearwater has a winner on its hands in the Greek Town Grille.
The menu is filled with traditional Greek dishes that will rival even Yiayia’s (Grandmother’s) cooking. House Specialties including Spanakopita (layers of crisp filo dough filled with spinach, cheese and fresh herbs), Moussaka (eggplant, zucchini, potatoes and ground beef, topped with Bechamel sauce), Pastitsio (layers of macaronia and seasoned ground beef, topped with Bechamel sauce), and Chicken Pitas are just the beginning of its varied and delicious menu. Arni Giuvetsi (braised lamb shank in a red sauce) and Octapodi Skaras (octopus chargrilled with authentic Greek seasoning, drizzled with olive oil and lemon) are some of its other authentic Greek dishes that are second to none. For dessert, an order of Kantaifi (shreaded filo dough, walnuts and cinnamon, crowned with light syrup) will top off a genuine Greek culinary experience.
No detail was over looked when the Karamountzos family created the Greek Town Grille. “The community has shown amazing support during these initial opening weeks,” comments owner Sam Karamountzos. “I think people are genuinely excited about having a truly authentic Greek restaurant in this part of the county. There’s nothing else like this around, so we are just inviting people to come in and give us a try. And we will certainly not disappoint them!”
All of the offerings at the Greek Town Grille are moderately priced. Appetizers range in price from $4 - $12. Entrees start at $8. The restaurant is open for lunch daily and offers Express Lunches for $7 - $8.
The décor of the Greek Town Grille is as appealing as the menu. Whether you choose to eat inside the tastefully decorated dining room with high ceilings and rich colors, in the comfortable banquet room, or outside on the Patio, the atmosphere is sure to enhance the dining experience. The banquet room also doubles as a dance club with upbeat live “new Greek” music played every weekend.
An ideal spot for a festive family dinner, an intimate dinner for two, a convenient business lunch or just an enjoyable gathering spot for happy hour after work, the Greek Town Grille will surely deliver a bona fide Greek experience that will make any Yiayia proud.
We invite you to come and experience the taste of Greece.

Went in here 15 minutes before they closed and no attitude from the bartender or any of the staff! Great food, awesome service- agreed on the urban flair vibe with a twist! 2nd time here- wonderful service the first time and second! Had shrimp, greek salad- boyfriend had lamb chops- wasn't crazy about them but other food was delish! Very authentic environment.

Not since the Grecian Village on Drew has downtown Clearwater had an authentic Greek restraunt. The food is excellent, the staff atentive and knowledgeable and the ambience and decor a blend of uptown urban with a strong Greek flair. From their lunch menues to ther dinner specials, the food is fantastic.

This place is AWESOME. We have visited Hella's in Tarpon Springs several times as we love greek food.
We tried this place seeing as how it was close to come and we were surprised all the way around.
The place is beautiful and the food is awesome (as if the chef cares about the food that is prepared).
This place Blows Hella's away.
If you like greek food and you are visiting the Clearwater, FL area.
Go for it as you too will fall in love with this place.
